Data protection.

What happens to your data when you visit this site. Short version: almost nothing.

The short version

This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking, and loads no content from third-party servers. Fonts and images are served from our own server, not from a content delivery network. There is no analytics tool, no advertising pixel, no embedded map, no chat widget and no social media plugin. We do not share information about your visit with advertising networks, analytics providers or social media platforms. Two exceptions are described below: the server that delivers this site is run by our hosting provider on our behalf, and a YouTube player loads only if you press play.

The paragraphs below spell that out, and describe the two cases in which data does reach us: the server log that every web server keeps, and the message you send us if you choose to.

Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Company
voraus robotik GmbH
Carl-Buderus-Straße 7
30455 Hannover
Germany
Represented by
Dr. Jens Kotlarski, Managing Director
Contact
Phone: +49 511 89810600
Email: info@vorausrobotik.com

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so under Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG.

No cookies, no tracking

We do not set cookies and we do not store anything in your browser. Because nothing is stored and nothing is tracked, there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

We do not use Google Analytics, Matomo, or any comparable tool. We do not measure how many people visit, which pages they read, or where they came from, beyond what the server log below records.

No third-party requests

Everything this site needs in order to display is delivered by our own server. In particular:

  • Fonts are embedded in the pages. Nothing is requested from Google Fonts or any other font service, so no IP address of yours reaches one.
  • Video thumbnails are embedded in the pages as images. Nothing is loaded from YouTube while you are reading our pages. The player loads and the video starts only when you press play. When you actively start a video, data such as your IP address is transmitted to YouTube and Google, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies. We use YouTube's enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which according to Google limits tracking before playback starts.
  • Documents such as white papers, the logo package and our terms and conditions are stored on our own server.
  • There are no embedded maps, no social media plugins, no chat or support widget, and no advertising or conversion pixels.

Server log files

Like every web server, the server that delivers this site records technical information about each request. This happens automatically and is unavoidable if a website is to be delivered at all. The log contains:

  • the address of the page requested,
  • date and time of the request,
  • the amount of data transferred and whether the request succeeded,
  • browser type and version, operating system,
  • the referring page, if your browser sends one,
  • your IP address.

This data is not combined with any other source and is not used to identify you. It is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering the site reliably and in defending against attacks, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Server log files are retained for 14 days and automatically deleted thereafter, unless longer retention is required for a security investigation or a legal obligation.

Contact form and email

The form on the contact page does not send anything. It has no receiver on our side: the button collects what you typed and hands it to your own email program, addressed to the right desk. Nothing you type on that page reaches us, or is stored anywhere, until you send the email yourself.

Once you do send it, we process the data you provide (name, company, email address, and the content of your message) solely to answer your enquiry and to handle any follow-up questions. We do not use it for anything else and we do not pass it on. The same applies to an email you write to us directly.

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We keep enquiry data until it is no longer needed, usually once the matter is settled, unless statutory retention periods apply. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Recipients and transfers

Website hosting is provided by IONOS, located in Germany. We do not disclose your personal data to independent third parties. Our hosting provider processes data solely on our behalf under an agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. There is no transfer to countries outside the European Economic Area.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we process personal data concerning you and to receive a copy of it (Art. 15), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16), to have data erased (Art. 17), to have processing restricted (Art. 18), to receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21).

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@vorausrobotik.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with any competent supervisory authority. Our lead supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.

Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to such processing on grounds relating to your particular situation in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.

Encryption

This site is delivered over TLS. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the https:// at the start of the address and the lock symbol in your browser.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the site changes in a way that affects it, for example if we ever add a service that processes data differently. The version published here is always the current one.
